An approach to movement health. Based off a full in clinic intake, movement screen, assessment, and your goals. Real personal training. 

 

Philosophy: Protect, correct, develop

First is to protect pain and dysfunctional movement patterns, second is to use movement, and exercise to correct and develop mobility, stability, and strength.

 

Initial intake: this session is essentially a big intake. It is composed of at minimum your personal goals, a thorough movement screen to find, mobility limitations, stability limitations, control limitations, and base strength limitations. And can go as far as taking a deeper look at pain, or significant dysfunctions, or on the other end of the spectrum, power output. This is a 100% necessary session before we move forward, and is the base of the entire program design. This is a 90 minute session.

 

In Clinic Personal Training Session: in clinic training sessions are programmed and coached, and based off of your goals, and the initial intake. You are under my watch 100% of the time with live physical adjustments. We work with bodyweight, kettlebells, sandbags, free weights, and resistance bands. Personal training sessions range from making real therapist driven mobility changes and learning functional movement techniques, along with finding your edge and pushing to make real change, always with a programmed workout from beginning to end, unless discussed otherwise. These sessions are dependent on your goals, any red flags that come up on the movement screen, or on training day, and everything will be clearly communicated as we go. In a nutshell, in clinic training sessions will always be a workout with time allotted for teaching, or extra focused mobility/ stability work if appropriate.

home personal training programming: you have gone through in the initial intake, are ready to sub some in clinic sessions on your own time at a home gym, or a fitness center. These are 100% individually programmed, and personally coached sessions. Based off the initial intake, your entire program will be completely written and managed, throughout the week. Correctives and goals will be built into your program, and will be progressed as you improve. I will set you a schedule, but life sometimes gets in the way and you can workout at your convenience. I will oversee everything. Communication to me through the platform, or through email is welcome, and encouraged! We will stay in touch consistently, with feedback. Off-site programming is combined with in clinic training sessions, and everything is taught in clinic for integrity.
